My research interests focus on the intersection between pediatric chronic illness and mental health and the promotion of pediatric health and wellbeing. I aim to utilize findings to inform clinical practice and augment evidence-based interventions. A career goal is to partake in applied clinical research to help bridge the gap between research and clinical practice. Consistent with my passion for interdisciplinary research and care, I look forward to continue to collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams.

Research Interests

  • Impact of modifiable health behaviors (e.g., sleep, nutrition & eating behaviors, physical activity) on psychosocial functioning
  • Transdiagnostic mechanisms and interventions and impact on pediatric mental health outcomes
  • Pediatric medical traumatic stress, resiliency, and coping among multicultural and diverse youth and families
